and any parent registering their child and paying attendance fees automatically becomes eligible to be elected onto this council. Should you wish to assist in the running of the nursery, election to the Management and Fundraising Committees are made at the AGM each May. Places on these committees may also be available at other times of the year. Please contact any member of staff or the management committee if you are interested. A copy of the Managers Report is available to read by clicking on this link. Clyde Cottage is associated to the Scottish Pre-School Playgroup Association.

We have three rooms at Clyde Cottage: the Little Tikes room (2-3yrs), the Honeypot room and the Busy Bees room. We also have two outdoor play areas. The nursery is located in a completely separate wing of St.Mun’s Primary School and therefore enjoys many advantages of occupying purpose built premises.

Activities are often themed and where appropriate include visits to places where the children can benefit from first-hand experience. On a daily basis children are encouraged to participate in a range of structured activities which includes painting, singing, crafts, puzzles, baking and wet play. All our activities are designed to help children develop their skills and abilities while still making it fun for them. Children can also indulge in free play using any of our range of carefully selected toys. Parents are kept up to date by letters, emails, notices in nursery and updates on social media. You can also look at our Parent Handbook by clicking on the link.

We take children from their second birthday right up until they start primary school. You can of course register your child at any time.

Lunches are prepared by Catering Direct. A copy of the week’s menu is emailed at the beginning of each week. The menu details over a three-week period can be viewed here. Should your child have any special dietary requirements please let us know.

If you would like to see round the nursery, or to discuss any points you may have prior to enrolling your child, please feel free to contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time.
