In April as part of their Eco Schools work, the children of Clyde Cottage Nursery took part in the Keep Scotland Beautiful National Spring Clean. Whist out and about picking litter from the Rose Gardens and surrounding area their attention was drawn to the amount of Dog Poo lying around.
The children and parent were fed up with it so they decided to hold an “Anti-Dog Poo Campaign”. The nursery held a poster competition to encourage dog owners to pick up after their dogs.
The posters were judged by Inspector Robertson from Strathclyde police .
The winner was Caitlin Anderson 3 years old, who received a year’s family pass to Benmore Gardens.
Clyde Cottage Nursery has now achieved their Eco School’s Green flag and would like to thank all of the people who have been involved and have worked so hard to make Clyde Cottage an “Eco Friendly” place to be.
